The SMT 300-Green Diagnostic Smoke Tester is a full-featured device which conforms to Mercedes-Benz' vehicle leak testing requirements. Features

• Compact, lightweight and portable. Operates off vehicle battery (12VDC).
• Safety valve automatically shuts off flow into the vehicle's EVAP system every time the machiine turns off or after a five minute test cycle; stopping hydrocarbon fumes from possibly exiting EVAP system.
• Non-toxic, non-corrosive smoke vapor is produced from a refillable canister inside the unit, using patented UltraTraceUV dye solution. The ONLY smoke solution approved by Mercedes-Benz. Will not void factory warranty.
• Advanced micro-processor touch pad for quick operation and control. Full featured machine with smoke flow control, flow meter, and pressure/vacuum gauge. Full complement of accessories with storage case. Test with or without smoke vapor.
• Multi-purpose tester designed for leak detection in any low pressure closed system. Detects leaks in any system through with air can travel. Use to pinpoint wind and water leaks of passenger cabin, trunk areas, tail light lenses, etc.
• Internal, self-purging water trap/filter on in-coming air supply of machine. Keeps contaminants away from the machine and the vehicle under test.
• Pinpoints leaks two ways: by producing a non-toxic visible vapor which exits the system and/or component wherever a leak exists. By depositing non-contaminating, non-permanent flourescent dye trace at the exact location of the leak.
• Designed for safe use in any vehicle. Regulates and maintains proper water column pressure requirements for OBD-II EVAP testing.
• Uses in-shop air for general purpose leak testing. Uses Nitrogen (or other inert gas) when required by OEM to produce diagnostic smoke for testing of EVAP system.
